DEDICATION IN HONOR OF SISTER AGNES On Sunday, June 12 at the 10AM Mass, in addition to celebrating the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, we will remember Sister Agnes Bernard. Sister was our Pastoral Associate and Director of Religious Education Program. She was a true leader who led us on our faith journey as a community of believers. After Mass, the Mary Room will be blessed and dedicated in honor of Sister Agnes. This gesture is a sign of our love and gratitude so she may be remembered at STM, the church she loved so very much. Please join us for this heartfelt event and enjoy some of the memories we have collected and displayed in the Mary Room and to share the ones rooted in our hearts. COFFEE AND ...will be served. Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit This prayer intones each of the seven spiritual gifts originating from the book of Isaiah: wisdom, intellect (understanding), counsel, fortitude, science (knowledge), piety, and fear of God. Christ Jesus, before ascending into heaven, You promised to send the Holy Spirit to Your apostles and disciples. Grant that the same Spirit may perfect in our lives the work of Your grace and love. Grant us the Spirit of Fear of the Lord that we may be filled with a loving reverence toward You; the Spirit of Piety that we may find peace and fulfillment in the service of God while serving others; the Spirit of Fortitude that we may bear our cross with You and, with courage, overcome the obstacles that interfere with our salvation; the Spirit of Knowledge that we may know You and know ourselves and grow in holiness; the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten our minds with the light of Your truth; the Spirit of Counsel that we may choose the surest way of doing Your will, seeking first the Kingdom; Grant us the Spirit of Wisdom that we may aspire to the things that last forever. Teach us to be Your faithful disciples and animate us in every way with Your Spirit. Amen. Cardinal Joseph Tobin, C.Ss.R. has named Fr. Robert the new Administrator of St. Anne’s Parish in Garwood, NJ. He will begin his service on July 1, 2022. (In our present system, a new Pastor is appointed first as “Administrator”. After a transition period, they are re-named: Pastor .) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! The Ascension of Our Lord, which occurred 40 days after Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Easter, is the final act of our redemption that Christ began on Good Friday. On this day, the risen Christ, in the sight of His apostles, ascended bodily into Heaven. Christ’s bodily Ascension foreshadows our own entrance into Heaven not simply as souls, after our death, but as glorified bodies, after the resurrection of the dead at the Final Judgment. In redeeming mankind, Christ not only offered salvation to our souls but began the restoration of the material world itself to the glory that God intended before Adam’s fall. We will celebrate this Solemnity on Sunday, May 29, 2022 UPDATE - 5/7/2022 @ 12PM:
