🗓 We hope you will join us tonight, December 15th at 7:00 PM for our Annual Advent Penance Service with Individual Confession. We will also offer Eucharistic Adoration beginning at 7:00 as well. As we come before the Lord and seek His tender mercy, we can truly ready our hearts and lives for His coming!
💭 Advent is a time of preparation, when we make ready to celebrate the mystery of our Lord’s coming as man, the beginning of our redemption. Advent also moves us to look forward with renewed hope to the second coming of Christ, when God’s plan of salvation will be brought to fulfillment. Let us prepare the way of the Lord by recognizing our sin seeking forgiveness through his merciful love. 📲 For helpful guides (by age/state) for making a good Examination of Conscience, please click here: https://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/sacraments-and-sacramentals/penance/examinations-of-conscience Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary A Holy Day of Obligation Wednesday, December 8, 2021 Mass Times: 9AM, 12:10 PM, & 7PM “O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin prepared a worthy dwelling for your Son, grant, we pray, that, as you preserved her from every stain by virtue of the Death of your Son, which you foresaw, so, through her intercession, we, too, may be cleansed and admitted to your presence. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.” (from the Collect Prayer for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, December 8) (Image: “Virgin of the Immaculate Conception” Oil on Canvas by Juan de Valdes Leal. 1651)
