Fr. Robert served our parish community since July 2019. He has given his time, talents, prayers and many gifts to the children, altar servers, young people and their families with priestly dedication. He shared his sense of humor and spiritual skills with our parish, our families and all parishioners. We are grateful for his priestly devotion and service to STM. We wish him God’s blessing on his new appointment at St. Anne’s in Garwood. May God bless him with his divine wisdom, and strength that he may proclaim God’s love and mercy to his new parish community. All the best Fr. Robert. We will pray for you and your new parishioners! Fr. Marek Deacons Aidan and Mike Parish Staff and Family of STM! Feastday: June 22 Patron: of adopted children, lawyers, civil servants, politicians, and difficult marriages Beatified: December 29th, 1886 by Pope Leo XIII Canonized: May 19th, 1935 by Pope Pius XI Prayer for Good HumorGrant me oh Lord, good digestion,
and also something to digest. Grant me a healthy body, and the necessary good humor to maintain it. Grant me a simple soul that knows to treasure all that is good and that doesn’t frighten easily at the sight of evil, but rather finds the means to put things back in their place. Give me a soul that knows not boredom, grumbles, sighs, and laments, nor excess of stress, because of that obstructing thing called “I.” Grant me O Lord, a good sense of humor, Allow me the grace to be able to take a joke to discover in life a bit of joy, and to be able to share it with others. DEDICATION IN HONOR OF SISTER AGNES On Sunday, June 12 at the 10AM Mass, in addition to celebrating the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, we will remember Sister Agnes Bernard. Sister was our Pastoral Associate and Director of Religious Education Program. She was a true leader who led us on our faith journey as a community of believers. After Mass, the Mary Room will be blessed and dedicated in honor of Sister Agnes. This gesture is a sign of our love and gratitude so she may be remembered at STM, the church she loved so very much. Please join us for this heartfelt event and enjoy some of the memories we have collected and displayed in the Mary Room and to share the ones rooted in our hearts. COFFEE AND ...will be served. Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit This prayer intones each of the seven spiritual gifts originating from the book of Isaiah: wisdom, intellect (understanding), counsel, fortitude, science (knowledge), piety, and fear of God. Christ Jesus, before ascending into heaven, You promised to send the Holy Spirit to Your apostles and disciples. Grant that the same Spirit may perfect in our lives the work of Your grace and love. Grant us the Spirit of Fear of the Lord that we may be filled with a loving reverence toward You; the Spirit of Piety that we may find peace and fulfillment in the service of God while serving others; the Spirit of Fortitude that we may bear our cross with You and, with courage, overcome the obstacles that interfere with our salvation; the Spirit of Knowledge that we may know You and know ourselves and grow in holiness; the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten our minds with the light of Your truth; the Spirit of Counsel that we may choose the surest way of doing Your will, seeking first the Kingdom; Grant us the Spirit of Wisdom that we may aspire to the things that last forever. Teach us to be Your faithful disciples and animate us in every way with Your Spirit. Amen. |
